TULA is an ancient Sanskrit word that means “Balance”. Resilience formed by nature, it is the existence of our true nature is stable and relaxed, allowing us to stay calm regardless of the myriad of changes in the world around us. At TULA we gently bring you back to your natural state, a state of balance & natural resilience. A personalized experience designed with a fusion of Western aromatherapy philosophies, Eastern TCM and Ayurveda techniques, TULA Wellness helps you restore your inner balance, reconnect, refocus & flourish.
Resident Wellness Master
Leona Chen, a well-rounded International Wellness Specialist who has been extensively dedicated to the field of holistic wellness for years. She combines western physiology and aromatherapy with Traditional Chinese medicine, Indian Ayurveda philosophy & yogic wisdom.
Leading the Wellness & Spa team at the Amala, she also leads the complimentary morning yoga, and a beautiful sunset meditation with Tibetan singing bowls.
We encourage you to actively communicate/ interact with her in the workshops she leads during your stay at TULA retreat. We believe you can gain a lot of knowledge and mindfulness skills.
Yoga & Meditation Coordinator
Ninie was introduced to yoga by a close friend and our first practice took place at The Yoga Barn in 2014 since then Yoga become a pathway to discovering happiness within herself. In April 2021, she achieved her 200-hour Hatha Yoga YTT certification at Udana Yoga Academy. Following this, in May 2023, she successfully completed her 50-hour Yin Yoga YTT at Salty Prana. She immersed herself in a Sound Healing Workshop at Udara Bali in August 2023, and just completed her 100-hour Meditation Teacher Training Ether Module at Alchemy Yoga & Meditation Centre Ubud in March 2024.
Pilates, Fitness & Balinese Healing
Dewa’s journey in fitness began in 1992, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for helping others achieve their best selves. With a background in Physical Education from 1995 to 1998, he seamlessly transitioned into a role as a dedicated fitness trainer. By 2010, he expanded his expertise to include Pilates, and in 2015, he embraced the transformative practice of Hatha yoga. His commitment to deepening his knowledge led him to complete a rigorous 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, following the SCB Syllabus, at Wellness Center Surya Chandra Bhuana from February to March 2024.
